Tim Pickett

AMFT #158944

“Tim provides a warm and non-judgmental space that allows their clients full expression to show up in session. Their collaborative style leads their clients to really come into their own.”

❋Empathetic

Tim’s grounded presence provides the space you need to show up with your full expression. They move at your pace and provide support without assumptions.

❋ Culturally Responsive

Tim brings a multicultural lens to their work as a person with a diverse background of experience in intersectional queer, trans, kink, ethical nonmonogamy, neurodivergent, and disability justice communities. They have worked with people from many backgrounds and cultures, and bring a postmodern, systems-aware frame to this work.

❋ Trauma Informed

Tim’s experience working with shame, grief, and addiction shows up in session as a wide container that can hold whatever you are bringing. They welcome all parts of you that want to show up, keeping your process front-and-center. They understand that patience is key to working with complex lives and histories.

❋ Collaborative

Tim understands that you are the expert in your own life and that you are the one driving therapy with your goals, your wants, and your needs. Their stance is power-neutral, offering you the opportunity to discover how you want to arrive and show up in your life through the microcosm of therapy.

Tim is an experienced clinician, specializing in shame, complex trauma, and the intersectionality of identity factors (any of BIPOC, neurodivergent, queer, trans, kink, enm, disabled).

Below are some of their qualifications.

Masters of Counseling, Wright University
