Supervisors at Juniper Sky

Meet Marissa Damphousse, LMFT #106722

I supervise because: I love the deep mentorship and connection that comes with supervision and consultation - it’s such a unique and special relationship. I see it as a collaborative space where I’m both a teacher as well as a learner. It’s such an honor to be part of someone’s journey and witness them stepping more and more into themselves as a clinician.

My approach as a supervisor is: I want folks to feel like they can bring anything to me. Their thoughts, gut instincts and insights - whatever is there. I see a big part of my role is in helping folks connect to and trust their own clinical insights and instincts.

My clinical background: I specialize in working with couples and families as well as individuals looking to explore their experience in relationships. I’m holistic and eclectic in my clinical work but pull a lot from parts work/Internal Family Systems, attachment lenses, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy.

My experience: I have 10+ years of experience as a therapist and I have completed a year-long depth training for supervisors through The Psychotherapy Institute.

Meet Emily Haydock, LMFT #109122

I supervise because: I love working collaboratively with other clinicians. I find exploring countertransference fascinating and informative and love how it can open up new insights or avenues for working with clients. I’m especially interested in supporting newer clinicians in learning how to incorporate mindfulness, breathework, and other somatic approaches into their therapeutic toolboxes.

My approach as a supervisor is: I really want to foster supervisory relationships that feel safe, supportive, and collaborative. I think a great relationship is one in which supervisees feel emotionally safe sharing their struggles and exploring their countertransference. I value working in a non-hierarchical manner, trusting the autonomy and wisdom of the clinicians I work with and of their clients.

My clinical background: My style is warm, collaborative, psychodynamic, somatic, holistic, feminist and parts-informed. I primarily see individual adult clients and work somatically.  I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, creativity, family planning and parenthood, codependency/overfunctioning, perfectionism and people-pleasing.

My experience: I have 10+ years of experience as a therapist and I have completed a 15-hour training for new supervisors through the Therapist Development Center.
